Is My Content Shareable?

Is My Content Shareable?

I’m not talking about whether or not your content has a Share or Call To Action button. In theory, doesn’t everyone's?

I’m touching on the quality of your content - whether it be a few words or a 50 page eBook. Consider the following:

  • Do people share your posts or unfollow you?
  • Is your content so hilarious that users have no choice but to hit the share button or respond thoughtfully?
  • Is your content seriously insightful enough that it fixes a problem humanity has been searching forever and a day to resolve?

Personally, I might let a post sit for a week or so, but just like a clothing store, if there is no interaction, I’m getting rid of it. Clearance prices or no.

If you’re a pro-blogger spending zero money on marketing apps or programs, an alternative method to getting your content under more eyes is Word-Of-Click Advertising, (AKA: other people sharing your content organically on social media or other platforms.)

Now please don’t confuse this with Pay-Per-Click (PPC) - that’s something different entirely. PPC is an attempt to pay for impressions in the hopes that people share your content based on popularity.

The main focus here is:

“How can I build more organic traffic without spending a nickel, yet still achieve greater visibility?”

… and:

“How do I not spend one penny for higher quality and quantity of interactions, engagement goals, and CTRs that improve daily?”

The answer isn’t an easy one.

Like managing money, successful blogging is metrics based. Great hedge fund and wealth managers are like concert pianists flying through a 2 hour Tchaikovsky piece on a Steinway Grand. It seems the average blogger seems to be a toddler banging on a Playskool piano from the 1970’s with no goals in site - they're just all over the place with no focus. There is so much garbage hype out there with blogging about blogging. So much so - you really have to be cautious and skeptical. It’s such an over-saturated market like diet and exercise, that content based in teaching optimization/monetization barely seems shareable anywhere.

Original content that is the most viral and shareable was never engineered for profit (goofy cat memes, funny accidents, etc …) If you don't believe me, ask PewDiePie;)

BOTTOM LINE

Until you can begin to intelligently interpret your raw or experimental data, and then properly execute actionables based off of those results, your best efforts will largely go unnoticed.
You will never get anywhere as a pro-blogger if you have to ask people yourself to share your original content when nobody else is.

Get out of this business while you still have time! It’s not for you!
